"D:!!!!" - GRACE

Anyone excited to hear how our "Greek/Hebrew Romance story" is coming along?

Well...

  • We talked about this on the phone, and over MSN...
  • It will be entitled......*drum roll please*.......

MERGING LOVE.

  • What is the story gonna be about? Hmm.
  • Well, y'all know its gonna be based during the Apostle Paul's time. Around....the A.D. 50's.
  • The boy's gonna be a Greek, and she'll be a Hebrew. His name is Timotheus, and she's Elisabeth.
  • The story goes, that the boy was training to be a roman soldier (or whatever that word Caleb used for it.. hehe), and for some reason gets sent home, only to be saddened by some depressing news and learning he has to take up a trade. He needs to be better equipped, mentally, for his business to thrive, so he leaves Athens for a state outside the city to take lessons. His mentor, Joshua, has three daughters, and thus come Beth into the story.

That's it for now, dearies. Much love from me and Juddy.

Not much to say today. Happy moments, sad ones.

We'll see.

It's amazing how God can work in your heart through someone elses tragedy. I attended a wake today, and I realized how short life it. How important it is to live for God, and how pointless it is to live for yourself. No matter what you think is more important; job, school, boyfriend, girlfriend, dreams, money; all those things are useless for Christ.

Ecclesiastes 12:7-8 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity. " Everything in this life is going back to the dust, and the spirit is either going to be with God or be in Hell. For us who are saved, when we stand before God, will we be ashamed? Sadly, I know I'll be ashamed of many things I know I could've done for God, but didn't. So it makes me want to do more for Him, cause really, that's all that matters.

Taught my daddy something tonight at Bible school. Wanna know? I knew you did...

Well, in Matthew 1:20 the Angel of the Lord is mentioned. As you know, the Angel of the Lord is mentioned throughout the Old Testament. The Angel of the Lord is the Pre - Incarnate Jesus Christ. So if you read the context, Jesus Christ was already in the womb of Mary, so my dad made the statement that because Jesus was in the womb, He couldn't have talked to Joseph in the dream. However, I questioned that because for him to say that it would deny the omnipresence (All Present) of Jesus Christ. So at the end of the class, my dad said that I was right.

Now please understand, I'm not trying to brag. It's not that at all! In fact, if it wasn't for my dad, I wouldn't even know who the Angel of the Lord was! So thank you dad for all your patient teaching for me. I love you.

Heavenly Father, I pray for those who are hurting now. You know who they are. I pray that You'll shine Your face on them. Only You know why this happened, and only You can make good come from it. May all of us be changed because of it. I pray all this in Jesus' name. Amen.

To all who are hurting now.

Dear Lord,

I pray for Aunt Connie, Tim, Amanda, and Annabelle now as they grieve over the lost of their brother-in-law/uncle. Please give them peace in their hearts, and I pray that their faith will not quiver, but grow stronger during this difficult time.

I love you, Lord; thank you for listening to my prayer.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Judson, hope you don't mind me bloggin' about personal things here! I think I'm gonna delete my personal blog. I never go there anyways.

Just wanted to inform everyone of what's been going on the past two days!:

youth- went to Secret Recipe for some cake and talk. (nic, kam, & I were mouth the words to old tunes). went to the "Eye of Malaysia". is that what it's called? It's a big ferris wheel that's white. Liz, Nic, Kam & I were in one cart. won't mention how the ride went, except that my finger hurts from where you gripped it, nicole. hehehe. love you! after that we went out for chinese desserts. then came home.

izzy came over to my place today. she's heapsa fun! we tried b-ball but the ball seemed to have some kinda magnetic force that always reeled it away from the hoop. we walked all round Ozana. for those who lurrrrve the Burkes, we saw their house and what it's become. it's nice and really fancy.....but all of Aunt Bonnie's charms and touches are gone. all! it's a white mansion now with really victorian-ish gates. gorgeous, yet hideous. sigh! went home for lunch, then went swimming. malay men gawked and whistled as usual, and izzy just had to "ewwwwwwwwwww!" them! (: once i even had to hold her finger down so we wouldnt get chased (LOL kidding). and came home and watched a movie, then made dindin. then we danced across my room as we sang "THESE BOOTS WERE MADE FOR WALKING, AND THAT'S JUST WHAT THEY'LL DO! ONE OF THESE DAYS THESE BOOTS ARE GONNA WALK ALL OVER YOU!". Iz wore my wedges. hahaha. we rocked.

Okay, so we've decided to do a project together.
Haven't we, Judson?

Because of Juddy's wide knowledge of the Ancient Greek civilization, and his knowledge of the Bible (we're leaning more towards the New Testament here), and because I'm practicing my writing talents, we've decided to write to novel together. It will be a story based in the time when the Ancient Greek culture and the Hebrew culture merged together because of one Person's death.

Jesus Christ.

Christianity brought the two most different civilizations together, and our story will have a Christian-Romance plot, based in the settings of Athens in Greece, in about the year 72 A.D.

We won't leak out too much info about the book, but we promise you it'll be a great one.

Keep coming back for updates.

Let me say though... THESE ARE GREAT LOVE STORIES TO READ!

Caleb

7:41 AM

Thank God for His protection of our relationship. I know that the tragedies listed below won't be one of ours, and I have NO doubts! The ones below, though they may be famous, were based on all the wrong reasons. However, Grace and I both can testify that our relationship has been founded on all the right reasons. It is one that will endure through all eternity. <3

TRAGIC ROMANCES in HISTORY

Ofcourse, everyone's favorite, Romeo & Juliet
Their love story is very tragic. The tale of two teenagers from two feuding families who fall in love at first sight and then marry, become true lovers and then risk it all for their love. To take your own life for your husband or wife is definitely a sign of true love. Their "untimely deaths" ultimately unite their feuding households.

Cleopatra & Mark Antony

They fell in love at first sight. The relationship between these two powerful people put the country of Egypt in a powerful position. But their love affair outraged the Romans who were wary of the growing powers of the Egyptians. Despite all the threats, Anthony and Cleopatra got married. It is said that while fighting a battle against Romans, Antony got false news of Cleopatra's death. Shattered, he fell on his sword. When Cleopatra learned about Antony 's death, she was shocked. And she took her own life. Great love demands great sacrifices.

Lancelot & Guinevere

Lancelot fell in love with Queen Guinevere, King Arthur's wife. Their love grew slowly, as Guinevere kept Lancelot away from her. Eventually, however, her love and passion overpowered her and the pair became lovers. One night, Sir Agravain and Sir Modred, King Arthur's nephew, led a band of 12 knights to Guinevere's chamber where they burst in upon the lovers. Discovered, Sir Lancelot made a fighting escape, but poor Guinevere was not so lucky. She was seized and condemned to burn to death for her adultery. Fear not. Sir Lancelot returned several days later to rescue his beloved Guinevere from the fire. This whole sad affair divided the Knights of the Round Table and weakened Arthur's kingdom. Poor Lancelot ended his days as a lowly hermit and Guinevere became a nun at Amesbury where she died.

Tristan & Isolde

Isolde of Ireland was the daughter of the King of Ireland. She was betrothed to King Mark of Cornwall. King Mark sent his nephew, Tristan, to Ireland to escort Isolde back to Cornwall. During the voyage, Isolde and Tristan fell forever in love. Isolde did marry Mark of Cornwall, but could not help but love Tristan. The love affair continued after the marriage. When King Mark finally learned of the affair, he forgave Isolde, but Tristan was banned from Cornwall. Tristan went to Brittany. There he met Iseult of Brittany. He was attracted to her because of the similarity of her name to his true love. He married her, but did not consummate the marriage because of his love for the "true" Isolde. After falling ill, he sent for Isolde in hopes that she would be able to cure him. If she agreed to come, the returning ship's sails would be white, or the sails would be black if she did not agree. Iseult, seeing the white sails, lied to Tristan and told him that the sails were black. He died of grief before Isolde could reach him. Isolde died soon after of a broken heart.

Paris & Helena
Recounted in Homer's Iliad, the story of Helen of Troy and the Trojan War is a Greek heroic legend, combining fact and fiction. Helen of Troy is considered one the most beautiful women in all literature. She was married to Menelaus, king of Sparta. Paris, son of King Priam of Troy, fell in love with Helen and abducted her, taking her back to Troy. The Greeks assembled a great army, led by Menelaus's brother, Agamemnon, to retrieve Helen. Troy was destroyed. Helen returned safely to Sparta, where she lived happily with Menelaus for the rest of her life.

Orpheus & Eurydice
Orpheus and Eurydice story is an ancient greek tale of desperate love. Orpheus fell deeply in love with and married Eurydice, a beautiful nymph. They were very much in love and very happy together. Aristaeus, a Greek god of the land and agriculture, became quite fond of Eurydice, and actively pursued her. While fleeing from Aristaeus, Eurydice ran into a nest of snakes which bit her fatally on her legs. Distraught, Orpheus played such sad songs and sang so mournfully that all the nymphs and gods wept. On their advice, Orpheus traveled to the underworld and by his music softened the hearts of Hades and Persephone (he was the only person ever to do so), who agreed to allow Eurydice to return with him to earth on one condition: he should walk in front of her and not look back until they both had reached the upper world. In his anxiety he forgot that both needed to be in the upper world, and he turned to look at her, and she vanished for the second time, but now forever.

Napoleon & Josephine
A marriage of convenience, at age 26 Napoleon took a fancy to Josephine. An older, prominent, and most importantly wealthy woman. As time drew on, Napoleon fell deeply in love with Josephine, and she with him, but that didn't deter the adultery on both sides-their mutual respect for one another kept them together, and their burning passion between them didn't falter, and was genuine. They eventually split, as Napoleon deeply required something Josephine could not give him, an heir. Sadly they parted ways, both bearing the love and passion in their hearts, for all eternity.

Odysseus & Penelope
Few couples understand sacrifice quite like this Greek pair. After being torn apart, they wait twenty long years to be reunited. War takes Odysseus away shortly after his marriage to Penelope. Although she has little hope of his return, she resists the 108 suitors who are anxious to replace her husband. Odysseus is equally devoted, refusing a beautiful sorceress's offer of everlasting love and eternal youth, so that he might return home to his wife and son. This Valentine's Day, take a cue from Homer, and remember that true love is worth waiting for.

Paolo and Francesca
Paolo and Francesca are made famous by the Dante's masterpiece "Divine Comedy". It is a true story: Francesca is married with Gianciotto Malatesta an awful person, but she has Gianciotto's brother, Paolo, as lover. The love between them grows when they read together a book (according to Dante) about Lancelot and Guinevere. When the two lovers are discovered they are killed by Gianciotto.
